Immersion cooling is an IT cooling practice by which IT components and other electronics, including complete servers, are submerged in a thermally conductive dielectric liquid or coolant. Heat is removed from the system by circulating a specialist coolant in direct contact with heat generating components, through a high efficiency heat exchanger and finally exhausted to atmosphere via a dry air cooler or captured to use as hot water or energy.
